Grant Writer: Not hard work but needed a few times per year. Strong writing and computer program skills (Adobe, Microsoft Office, Search Engine).
Run Leaders: Needs current Hawaii driver’s license and driver’s abstract. Relieve Run Leaders who have served for 4 years. Approximately 10-12 hours a month on two runs per month.
Run Riders: Volunteers who go on runs on a regular basis. Approximately 4-5 hours per run.
Supply Room: Sort, count and make decisions on donated items. Short hours, air conditioned supply room. Requires ability to stand, bend, sit and lift 3-4 lbs.
PBJ Sandwiches: Be part of the “PBJ Brigade” assembling peanut butter and jelly sandwiches at designated church locations.
Donations Coordinator: (Hotels/Condos/Corporations, Etc.): Communicate with the Executive Directors, Managers, Chairpersons, Presidents of various organizations that wish to make in-kind donations. Arrange for pick up of items by Volunteers, Friends or Run Leaders. Help to solicit donations when needs grow as requested by the Supply Room Volunteers. Short hours and working from home with communication via phone and computer. Needs ability to multi task, work closely with President, basic computer skills.
Packaging Help: Package up first aid kits on a regular basis. All materials are supplied. First Aid kits are something many of those we serve really need and ask for. This is a great way to help, but not have to go on runs.
